IF YOU ARE THE INJURED PARTY
Notification of the competent bodies / Accident statement
Notify the police/competent bodies for documenting the road accident or apply the amicable statement procedure, as the case may be.
Crash photo taking
Take pictures at the place of the accident of your vehicle and of the culprit, with all the circumstances included (overview, registration numbers and damaged parts of the vehicles, brake marks, shards).
MTPL insurance copy
Obtain a copy of the motor third party liability insurance of the person guilty of the accident causing.
Address the MTPL insurer/National Bureau
Contact the insurer of the person responsible for the road accident or the National Bureau of the country where the accident occurred.
CASCO insurance
If you have an optional CASCO vehicle insurance, notify the insurer and follow its instructions.
Nota bene! NBMIM does not handle damages caused by road accidents occurring outside the borders of the Republic of Moldova. These claims are settled by the National Bureau of the country where the accident took place / culprit’s MTPL insurer, according to the legislation applicable in the respective state.

Damages reducing
Take measures, depending on the circumstances, to limit the damages.
Police notification / Accident statement
Immediately notify the police or other competent bodies closest to the place of accident or use the accident statement procedure, as appropriate.
Green Card insurance information
Present a copy of the Green Card insurance certificate to the police and / or the injured person.
Notification of the Green Card insurer
Notify the Green Card issuing insurer within a term of 48 hours from the moment of the accident (eg: message sent to the insurer's e-mail address).
Coordination of the measures
Do not take independently measures to repair and settle damages. Coordinate them with the responsable insurer.
Actions on return to the country
When returning to the country, present to the Green Card insurer the accident statement (if you have applied this procedure) or other documents you have regarding the occurrence of the road accident.
Access to the vehicle
Ensure, at the request of the claims handling entity, the access to the vehicle with which you caused the accident, as appropriate.
Submitting of the accident documents
Present, at the request of the claims handling entity, the documents related to the road accident, as the case may be.
